On the question asking "Care provider's efforts to include you in decisions about your care" - there seems to be a misunderstanding of who the decision-maker in that scenario is. Decisions about my healthcare inherently belong to me, and by seeking care from this provider I am including them in those decisions. Implying otherwise is pretty offensive.

Dr. Wong has been exceptional! I met him in the Fairfield office and switched to Westport when I learned that was his primary location. He was very patient and incredibly thorough during his exam i.e. examining the functioning and flexibility of my joints. He took the time to address each of my concerns and I appreciated his feedback on preventative care. I truly feel heard during my visits and trust his professional opinion. Highly recommend!

Dr. Andrew Wong practices internal medicine at Hartford HealthCare Medical Group’s new primary care practice in Westport, and is the Regional Medical Director for the Bridgeport, Fairfield and Westport areas. Prior to joining the Medical Group, he practiced primary care in Greenwich for 12 years.

With a strong interest in precision medicine and healthful living, Dr. Wong takes into account an individual’s genetic and family history, environmental conditions, and lifestyle habits in order to create an effective treatment plan for each of his patients. He focuses on preventing illness and reducing physical and mental health risks and stressors. He encourages his patients to be more mindful of the decisions they make in the present, so they can enjoy healthful living in the future.

Dr. Wong received his medical degree from New York University Medical School in New York, and completed his residency in internal medicine and general surgery at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn.
