Great doctor and human being. Treated my wife's ovarian cancer with compassion and empathy. Even made house calls to comfort her when needed. Very happy to see he is still practicing and helping people. God bless him for the good he does.

Dr Berard is very kind and takes as much time as is needed to explain everything so I understood what was about to happen. Not only is he very caring the entire staff at the cancer center , is very compassionate and go way beyond to make you a comfortable as possible. It starts with the ladles that check you in , the medical assistant and all the nurses ,PA'S AND APRN'S. I'M so glad I come to ST Vincents after a horrible experience at the other local cancer center. I can't recommend Dr Berard enough.

Dr. Paul Berard is an oncologist with the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute. His clinical interests include: gastrointestinal cancer, pancreatic cancer, thoracic cancer, bleeding and clotting disorders, genitourinary cancer, head and neck cancer, lung cancer and metastatic tumors.

After completing an undergraduate degree from College of the Holy Cross, Dr. Berard earned a medical degree from the University of Connecticut. He completed residency and internship at Berkshire Medical Center and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Boston University Medical Center.

Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Berard is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology.
